introduction
We've re-invented electronic document markup... to allow markup on any document that can be viewed on a Microsoft Windows computer... to offer powerful toolset options for technical workers... all at an affordable price that brings document markup to everyone
Mark^Up Tools was designed around the concept of effective markup tools for technical reviews, within an intuitive, easy-to-use interface.
With Mark^Up Tools everyone from power users to students can markup any document, from CAD drawings to web pages, photos to eBooks.
how to start
first step: make an XPS file copy of the document you want to markup.
Go to your document's Print command - instead of printing to your regular printer, choose the Microsoft XPS Document Writer. This print-to-file driver will create the XPS file copy at the location you specify. The XPS file is a high-quality representation of your document.
second step: Start up Mark^Up Tools and import the .xps file you just created.
Mark^Up Tools displays a scrolling list of the document pages in the lower left. The first page is automatically opened in the main view. That's it! You're ready to start marking your document.
A layer named "Common" is created by the program for each page of the document and set as the active layer. The default color for the Common layer is red, but if you'd prefer your marks in another color just add a new layer to the page and select a color in the Create New Layer dialog.
